What we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to get it deleted. We collect the minimum needed to deliver work and run the business.
Working draft. This document was prepared during the pre-launch build and has not been reviewed by counsel. It is published for transparency, not as a binding agreement. Your engagement is governed by your signed MSA and SOW.
What we collect
Inquiry data: name, email, company, phone, and the project brief you submit through the Start a project form. Collected before any account exists, and kept whether or not the inquiry becomes a project.
Account data: name, email, company, role. Provided by you at signup or when we create your account.
Project data: briefs, files, messages, deliverables, and approvals you submit through the platform.
Billing data: billing contact and address. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our systems.
Technical data: browser user agent, and the page that referred you. We do not store IP addresses — they would tell us nothing we act on, and storing them creates an obligation with no matching benefit.
Why we collect it
To deliver the work you contracted us for, to bill you, to meet legal retention obligations, and to secure the platform. We do not sell personal data and we do not serve advertising.
Who we share it with
Subprocessors listed at /legal/subprocessors — hosting, database, email, payments, and error monitoring providers.
Subcontracted engineers working on your project, under NDA, and by default without your organization identified. See the client-visibility section of our terms.
Authorities, when legally compelled. We will notify you unless legally prohibited from doing so.
Retention
Contracts, invoices, and audit records: 7 years, as required for tax and legal purposes.
Project files and messages: project lifetime plus 3 years.
Everything else: deleted on request.
When a deletion request conflicts with a legal retention requirement, we strip personal data and keep the financial record. We will tell you exactly what was kept and why.
Your rights
Access, export, correction, and deletion. Email privacy@stratedge.global and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
